“Great Food”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

The staff are excellent, very easy going.
The food was great. I had fig, stilton and parma ham salad starter, followed by crab and avocado salad. The mains are huge so two starters was perfect.
the decor is a bit naff cafe and the location is a bit tricky.
otherwise a great value night out.

“Worthy of regular custom”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Staff polite, amenable, attentive without being irritating, unpretentious and friendly. Unfortunately I was too full to finish my main of mac and cheese. Ripe avocados and fresh crab in salad, scallops were cooked perfectly and I did love the lashings of sauce. Crisp parma ham. Haggis, neeps and tattie, dare to think what the 'extra large' portion would have been like. Thoroughly tasty and enjoyable. Had the pinot rose, nice and fresh. Good with a heavy dinner. I will have to come starving next time so as to conquer your massive desert. Note also; when we were finishing our wine the staff were keen to let us know that they had things to be doing so we should not feel the need to rush. Just bloody lovely.

Spent a lovely evening at the Black Sheep bistro with my husband and son. The food was delicious, very generous portions, and the service prompt and friendly. Heartily recommend.

“A Restaurant for the Food Lover”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We booked ourselves a table here based on the reviews on TA and we were not disappointed.
Nice premises, friendly staff and a good atmosphere but above all, great food. A good menu which should have something for everyone and at reasonable prices. The food is very very good, well cooked and nicely presented but above all, the prtions are of a good size, no-one should leave here hungry. We had starters and mains and then because of sheer greed we ordered a shortbread stack for desert and we shared it, glad we did because it was delicious and even the shortbread was home made. A wonderful place and we look forward to visiting again when we are in Glasgow.
