Went here about 1month ago with my husband for a wee meal. it looks nothing outside and you would walk past it but its great inside. There are only 7 or 8 tables so it's small and intimate. Food and wine was lovely, toilet was lovely too, very clean, and wee homely feel even in there with the decorations and handwash etc. The staff were very friendly, called us a taxi and it was there in minutes. Great price too.

Lovely little bistro, main course generous and great value for money but the puddings are the spectacle - also generous and tasted amazing (Check out photos of the meringue, honeycomb and ice cream which my friend got). Friendly staff and generally a great meal.

My wife and I were travelling from Edinburgh by bus and going to a concert at the SECC. We looked for a good restaurant within 10 minutes of the venue. Tripadvisor's reviews were very positive. It was really nice to see the comments made by others were accurate and not 'gilding the lily!' The food is recognisable as similar to what 'yir mammy used tae make!' but in reality there is a nice modern take on the dishes we sampled. We had to wait between courses but only because the food was being prepared and cooked to perfection after we ordered it. A nice choice of wines and very reasonable prices. The restaurant is small and requires only one waitress. She was pleasant and very efficient. Would we want to return? Because of our pensioners bus passes we would certainly consider it in future. And by the way, the concert was also very good. All in all a very pleasant evening!
