I booked this restaurant for a girls night out as one of the girls had been before and highly recommended it! We were not disappointed!
This restaurant is a great place to eat and to catch up with friends and has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the very attentive staff!
The menu has a lot to choose from, I had the fillet steak and the meringue puff-candy ice-cream I highly recommend both!
The menu changes daily so you will be spoiled for choice.

This is like going to your dream Scottish mum's house for dinner. You get the warmest welcome you could hope for, to a pretty, slightly twee room on a side street in what I'm guessing is one of Glasgow's less trendy areas. Its a bit too warm, but you get handed a glass of iced water - unasked for - the moment you sit down and reassurance that it will cool down once your tea is cooked and the oven goes off. Then you get presented with big servings of brilliantly well cooked, proper Scottish food. And after a bit of a rest - vast, imaginative, diabetes-inducing puddings. Our two courses, with a good bottle of wine and coffee, comes to around £25 a head. Who knows if this is the best restaurant in Glasgow - we certainly had a really nice evening, though.

thank you so much for your lovely review , I am glad you get the fact I am just somebodys mum making the tea , we are trying to give our customers a nice relaxed evening and great dinners and puddings, I am sorry it was so warm in the restaurant , the downside of being so busy is I am cooking all day long , we had a window installed in the restaurant and in the kitcjen a few weeks ago but still the room seems warm well today we got a cooling system so hopefully if you visit again it will be cooler

Just been in for lunch. The starters were fab. Smoked salmon and potato rosti was gorgeous and black pudding with home made tattie scones and tomato sauce were fab. The main courses were very nice and good value. We wish this wee gem was near us.

After reading all the great reviews we decided to give the Black Sheep a visit, and we were not dissapointed, this Bistro is a wee gem of a place, great choice on the menu, huge portions, infact everything from the moment you enter it is perfect, the staff, ambiance food all excellent.
I had the Kedgeree and the Mince and Tatties, both so tasty, the mince was wonderful, served with a creamy mash and mashed suede and even got offered some bread and butter to mop up my plate which I did, I left nothing and the portions were big, annoyed that I did not have room for a pudding as I am sure they would have been super, my husband had the haggis, Neeps and Tatties to start, the Haggis was the nicest he has ever tasted, he then has the Fish and Chips, this was not frozen and totally delicious, again it was served with bread and butter and a cup of tea, he ate everything and was fit to burst, we will definatley be going back, this Bistro is going to get so busy as as soon as you have been you will be going back, thanks for a super meal see you soon.
