big changes for the better here over the years, good shops, good access to Buchanan Galleries etc., and all the restaurants and the theatre

“Bank Holiday Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Great place to eat and drink, loads of choices from Indian, Chinese, to pub grub. There are some good choices of places to drink from the good old Wetherspoons and Yates, to other bistros and Cocktail bars. Be aware thought that on Saturday nights it can get pretty busy with Hen and Stag do's, but my wife and I did not feel intimidated or threatened as everyone seemed more intent on having a good time.

“Nothing special, but it worth a stroll.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

I don't think it is a tourist attraction so relevant, the Sauchiehall Street does not have the same charm as the Buchanan or Argyle Street.
Even here this long pedestrain street you can find many shops, cafes and restaurants but nothing significant.

“Second class”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

This street has had its best time some years ago. The restaurants are mostly shabby, the shops are never above H&M-qualitylevel. Deterioration very visible. Moreover, the city does not do well in cleaning the street. You better go Buchanan or Argyle. Much better.

“Shopping”

Not as good as it used to be sadly. The best shops relocated to Buchanan Galleries. There is the Savoy Centre but it's a bit sad looking now.
