“not as nice as it once was.”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

What was once a great place for shopping has gone downhill. A lot of the shops have closed down and it is a shame.

“shopping”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

A very good selection of both chain store and individual shops. Shoppers in need of a coffee or something to eat, will find a good variety of places to choose from.

“A great shopping street”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

This street takes you back when shops were on streets and you could join other shoppers in the busy pedestrian walkway. A new hotel just opened on the street and with John Lewis store at one end always worth a visit. . As you walk towards the M8, you will also find great restaurants. Plenty to see and eat. At the top of the street by the motorway, there is a great Chinese restaurant and Mitchell Library.

“Two Tigers Walking Down Sauchiehall Street...”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

...one says to the other..."I thought you said this place was crowded?"
So goes the joke, and the street lives up to its reputation as one of the busiest (and longest) streets in the City. Lots of eateries, drinking venues, and a range of shops, galleries and entertainment from street performers, always worth a stroll.

“Not a lot of good shops but ok bars/restaurants - students”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

I wouldn't recommend 'going shopping' in Sauchiehall (soky-hall) Street as there are only a few good shops - your time would be better spend in Buchanan Street and Argyll Street for shopping.
There are a good few pubs and restaurants to visit but the street itself is looking a bit run down with empty units and cheap shops
