“Beautiful open spaces”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

Pollock Country Park is Glasgow's largest park, of which it has many. Glasgow is often refereed to as a green city, due to it's extensive green spaces including over 60 public parks. Pollock Park has many long walking trails and is situated around a beautiful country manor, complete with gardens, a maze, greenhouses and working horses. It's a picturesque place to be on a warm summers day, as the garden bloom, the famous Clydesdale horses work the land and people meander the grounds taking it all in.
There is also an adjacent golf course and Queens park is a short 15 minute walk away, although Queens park is much smaller, it has a live animal display room at the top, including about 50 species of birds, insects, reptiles and mammals.this is generally open between 10am-4pm Mon-Friday.

“Amazing space in the centre of the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014

This is one of our local parks and it never fails to impress. From acres of woodland & open space, to the wonderful herd of highland cattle and the famous Clydesdale Shire horses, Pollok has something for everyone from 5 - 95, whether that's nature or culture. Culture is provided by a choice of either Pollok House (with fantastic scones in the Victorian kitchen!) to the eclectic Burrell Collection.

“Beautiful walk, and shaggy moos!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Impressive Burrell Collection amid a stunning landscape. Plenty of shaggy moos (highland cattle) on the grounds if the weather permits a stroll. Easy walk from the Pollockshaws West train stop. Stables and mill house on the grounds of Pollock House are also lovely.

“Cows”

Cows, cows everywhere. I love those scottish cows. And there are many places to relax, sit down, playing guitar, enjoying peace and quite. Or jogging if you want to :-)
