It covers 260 acres and was before the new motorway extension the largest urban green space in Europe, Apart from the Burrell it is a fantastic day out, ther is in the summer the leisure of watching cricket Bowls visiting Pollok house or just enjoying the walled gardens and the ground in general. A perfect place for a picnic near the Cart River or beside the Lily pond, if you can find it another hidden gem.There is a herd of highland cattle and also a wood carver who with a chainsaw demonstrates the skill of a delicate painter.
