Our first visit was in June. What I really wanted to see was the plane hanging inside. It was packed with stuff and not greatly organized – much as one would expect of a Victorian museum. The architecture was as fun to see and there was a whole section on Macintosh. My second visit was in August. I love wandering around this museum. I stopped in twice – once briefly while waiting for someone and then a second time when I had a bit more time. I went to the Linda McCartney special exhibit. It was fantastic and unexpected. There was an extra cost but it was worth it. (As I've found visiting museums in London, too.)

I attended a weekly organ concert in the museum on a Sunday afternoon. The sound that comes out of the pipe organ and into the museum is breathtaking. There was a decent crowd of people listening to the music, but I did not find the crowd to be overwhelming. The museum has a bit of everything - art pieces from across the centuries. It also has a Spitfire plane hanging from the ceiling, a collection of armor and weapons, and taxidermy stuffed animals. Beautiful stained glass windows, a breathtaking picture by Dali and so much more. If you have a couple of hours in Glasgow, this place is worth a visit. And it is especially enjoyable because there is no entry fee.

Worth a visit. Real mixture of exhibits. Lots for children to see. Free entry. Easy to travel to by bus from city centre.

A bit random and bitsy, but still interesting. I loved the impressionist art collection and the faces suspended from the ceiling.

The building is lovely.

A maze of a place with huge marble galleries. We came mainly to visit the art gallery and found the layout a bit confusing, but the exhibits were worth searching for, especially the Dali Christ.
