We visited Kelvingrove because my "other half" bought me a weekend in Glasgow for the sole purpose of looking upon the Dali painting of Christ on the cross which hangs in the Kelvingrove. That said, there is so much more to Kelvingrove than the Dali painting ... the Spitfire, the organ (which we didn't get to hear), the Charles Rennie Mackintosh exhibits, the composers named on the friezes between the arches. The architecture is beautiful too. We spent a whole day here, and it really wasn't enough. Lovely lunch in the restaurant, too ... and excellent shopping in the ... er ... shopping bit.
