“Still a Great Tour”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

Despite not being able to tour the inside of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh-designed building (due to the recent fire), our guide Laura L still managed to show us some of the other highlights of Mackintosh's contributions to design in Glasgow. The tour lasted about an hour, and managed to keep our 17 year-old son interested. There is some walking involved in the tour, but nothing terribly taxing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Glasgow who is interested in architecture and design. As an added bonus, the very reasonable admission fee for the tour helps pay for restoration work on the school building.

“common wealth games”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

Visited Glasgow for the Games..thought we'd take in a tour of the School...post fire as rated so highly on trip advisor .The strength of the tour is the enthusiasm/spontaneity of the students who are the guides .I'd hadn't really heard of Mackintosh before but this tour gave me a introductory guide to style and influences...looking forward to revisting after restoration. Not too much walking involved...

“The Reid Building”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

Glasgow School of Art building is being repaired just now so went in to the Reid Building across the road. Beautiful shop and lovely surroundings - the Glasgow School of Art should be refurbished by next year. There is still a tour that leaves from the Reid Building.

“Post-fire tour was excellent”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Do not miss this visit even though the fire destruction does not allow a visit to the interior of the school. Our student guide was excellent, and we did a walking tour around the neighborhood, in addition to hearing about the school.
