“Beautiful interiors”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

It's a shame the original house had to be torn down. But it's great that the university built this recreation to house these lovely interiors.

“An insight”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

I first visited this house when it opened : 30 years on and I have to say that it's far better having seen other CRM gems (Hill House and the GSA). This tour, in particular, provides some insight to the personalities of CRM and MM as it shows us what they did to 'make-over' their own home, an end of terrace Victorian villa. The tour is free and our guide was superb. Just a £5 taxi ride from the GSA it's well worth doing the two tours back to back.

“What a lovely surprise”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

We went to the Hunterian on a rainy Sunday afternoon and were treated to a wonderful surprise when we took the free guided tour of the reconstructed Mackintosh House. A gem.

“Back in time”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

This house has been rebuilt, at Glasgow Uni, using a lot of the original contents of his house. We had a very informative personal tour by a wonderful guide. It fantastic how they have returned the house to it's former glory. 3 floors then a small musem at the top. If you are into Mackintosh this is a must see, and the best bit is that it is free.
