We stayed here a week ago and had a lovely suite and dinner in the restaurant. The staff were terrific all over the hotel from check-in to the restaurant and on departure.

We got a great rate, but the place has been well looked after. The rooms are clean and well appointed with quirky touches. The mini bar isnt a complete rip off. Best of all though were our waitress Hannah at dinner who was sensational - really attentive and authentic personality wise, and the food itself. Great, unctuous Donald Russell steaks, washed down with some lovely Douro red..... I arrived in a bit of a mood as the oysters and razor clams were sold out but I was soon won round.

We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back - Malmaison seem to, along with HdV, be keeping their standards consistently high over the years.

Only a one night stay in what is a converted church which gives the hotel both a dark and mysterious feel. Being a church then a good part of the hotel is in the basement e.g. bar, restaurant etc.

Room was comfy and of gothic feel. Couldnt fault the comfortable bed and indeed a good nights sleep. Nice shower in the morning with plenty of power.

Restaurant had a good menu and accomodated 12 of us from 9:45pm in a private dining area. Food was top notch. Always a good sign of fresh food when a number of dishes are running low or have sold out.

Pretty central within Glasgow and about a 20 min taxi journey along the M8 to the airport.

Recommended!

This was a fab hotel and loved the location. Rooms were a bit small. Great to have late check out.

Very individual hotel. Comfortable rooms, good food and good bar. No aircon but not a problem in Glasgow in September. Service was very good, professional. I would recommend this as a weekend couples hotel as well as for business.

Great room - maybe not ideal for the fat or lazy as there's no lift and quite a few stairs - plenty of space and a decent bathroom. The wife complained about the poor make up lighting though. The windows didn't open, but the aircon was able to make the room feel fresh. Generally the place felt like a trendy Marriott - nothing very special about it, but a decent place to be.

Everything was fine - breakfast seemed a little overpriced to me - £14.95 for some coffee, toast and a bacon roll? But to be fair, you could pig out for the same money.

There appeared to be a hen night happening there so we went elsewhere for food and drinks.

PS: Both my wife and a couple of the hen party commented on how fit the male receptionist was - I think one of the hens got his phone number...
