Owner description: Scotland Street School Museum, a working school until the late 1970s, hosts regular fun family events. It offers a fascinating insight as to what school days were like in the reign of Queen Victoria, during World War II, and in the 1950s and 60s, in three reconstructed classrooms. Architecturally significant, the school was designed by Scotland's most famous architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. His designs for the school are on display. Refreshments can be taken in the Willow Cafe.

“Interesting Building”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

We came across from Fife to see the Peter Rabbit Exhibit which had some interesting things but not as big as we thought. The rest of the building was interesting as its a MacIntosh Design and project about the experiences of children who've immigrated to the UK was great.

The children in our party of 8 really enjoyed this visit (ages 6 & 8), dressing up and sitting in the classrooms etc. it's a fab building with interesting exhibitions and wonderful design features.well worth a visit and a real trip down memory lane. It's free too and the staff were very helpful with suggestions for lunch.
