We came across the police museum in Glasgow by accident and decided to check it out. The museum is very informative and full of facts and interesting artefacts that cover the history of the Glasgow Police Force. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and we both really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it for all.

A bit on the small side but very interesting. Kids enjoyed it, as they are starting a new school project on the police service. Lots of little facts learned

Very informative and staffed by very friendly and well informed ex police officers. Although the area is small it is packed with loads of interesting exhibits

Small musuem which displays various medals, handcuffs, police radios plus lots of old uniform.
There are also some of the old Glasgow police officers who are more decorated.
A section of the musuem displays uniforms from all over the world.
There is also a Stone of Destiny replica which was used in the film, this is one of the highlights of the museum.
Entry is free and the staff are polite and helpful.
Takes about 30 minutes to look around.

Located in the merchant City of Glasgow look up in Bell Street second floor easily missed. This is one of Glasgow's secrets it the story of the City of Glasgow Police the first Police in Briitain.i visited as part of a film I was making on the History of the British Transport Police. The museum is full of old Police uniforms and memories. It also tell you the Police History and why the Glasgow Police were the first Police in Britain before the 'Met' The staff are very friendly and will help explain the museum as you walk round. There is also a great collection of Police uniforms from around the world very good. For a review you can see part of the museum and the curator explaining the past. It's on You Tube check. TheRailways007. History of the British Transport Police . This Police museum is run by ex police officers and is free to visit. You have to check their website for opening times. Very interesting if your into history
