We popped into Distill on a wet weekday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised when we saw the contemporary surroundings and then, of course, the menu with it's fine range of appetizers, burgers, pizza and salads, plus their prices are excellent. I had the Root n Toot veggie burger which is served with caramelized onion relish and goat's cheese (absolutely delicious - I'm not a veggie, but if all veggie food tastes this good maybe I could be!), while hub had the "hangover cure" burger which is basically a cheeseburger with breakfast on it - egg n bacon. The burgers are served with skinny fries, which I don't normally rate but these were super tasty. Atmosphere wise, Distill was good for a weekday afternoon, as it was pretty relaxed with good music and pleasant staff and I'm sure weekends and evenings would be great too. This is another place we'll be adding to our regular Glasgow haunts.

This place used to be The Ivy, which had the best burger in Glasgow - the Lamb Kofta to be precise. Now no longer on menu, had a burger which was much poorer. Also used to do large chunky chips, these are now replaced by cheap american salty fries.

What a great wee place for a decent handmade burger! Staff were very friendly and service could not be faulted. We were only in for a quick bite to eat but the menu choice looked good and it seemed to have a good atmosphere for spending a while in there.

Now known as Distill. Went here for a pre SECC show meal.
The atmosphere and the ambiance are pretty good in this bar / diner and the staff were polite, cheerful and provided great service.

Both of us decided on the Makin' Bacon burger. The burger was clearly hand made and was flavoursome. The heat from peppered bacon and the dijon mustard made a good burger mouth tinglingly great.

The accompaniments of salad and skinny fries could have been larger portions but the burger was the hero.

Food used to be reasonably good but kitchen closed for some reason. never busy during the day but worth a look at night. the bar team really know their rums and can knock up a great cocktail.
