Mussels are a speciality here but there is a lot more on offer. Good service and value for money. The tapas option is good.

Recently went to Brel for a quick bite to eat with a friend. We sat at the back right beside the beer garden which was full since it was a rare sunny day and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and atmostsphere! We had tapas (3 dishes each for £10) great value! goats cheese on focaccia and king prawns in chilli were especially good! we did order drinks which were forgotten about but staff looked busy so it wasn't much of a problem to ask again and drinks arrived shortly after that. didn't purchase any more alcohol as drinks are actually pretty expensive compared to the food prices and the west end is full of cheaper places to drink! Overall, worth a visit for sure!

Brel serves a cross over from scottish to "belgian" cuisine. The place are rather nice and the staff friendly, but then no more then that.
Its quite average and it seems like they live on the tourists rather then taking a real effort. So was the food just dull and nothinh to say on that.

An opportunity missed. Good location and attractive internal layout, with n enclosed outdoor seating area. The food is not consistent, stick to the specials on the menu
Disappointing range of beers for a supposedly Belgian bistro
