The kids love the hotel. Rated as the number one hotel by my kids during our UK trip, even though we have to stay separately in two rooms. The bed is very comfortable and a samsung pad controls everything within the room. The room is not huge, but good enough for 2 people for 1-2 nights. The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping area. The only minus is that there is no parking facilities. So it is not so convenient for those who drive and have young children. The staff at checkin (27Jul pm) was very helpful and tried to accommodate us in two rooms next to each other. The lobby setup and the canteen are very cool too. Good stay overall.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel located very close to the city centre, which was great. The hotel's concept, including its room, is different, unusual, modern. Given its level of comfort and location, the value was very good. Room was clean, quiet, with a very large and comfortable king size bed. Large flat-screen TV. Large shower area and well appointed shower, but small sink. In room safe available at no extra charge. Free reliable Wifi. Parking arrangements are off-site, about 10-15 minutes walking distance and for GBP10 per day. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in proximity of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall excellent.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights during the Commonwealth Games and had a room on the fifth floor which was very quiet (we were advised that rooms on the second floor may be noisier so opted to be higher up).

The check in process was very smooth with staff waiting to greet you and help with the touch screen check in terminals. Whenever we walked by these were manned but it would've been easy to do on your own too. At the end of your stay they have a room where they will keep your luggage until you leave town which is useful and although we didn't need it they offered late check out for a really reasonable price (I think it was about £15).

The room itself was not the largest but very cool with a huge comfy bed and huge window with views of the street and remote controlled blinds. Very clean. The TV had a good selection of channels but could've benefited from a wider selection of movies (however the ones that are available are free which is great). Love the free wifi too. It was a tiny bit frustrating that the massive window didn't open at all so no chance to get any fresh air into the room although you could easily control the temperature and had a blackout blind which was good.

As some people have commented, the bedroom/shower room are kind of all in one and it would be quite a small space to share with someone you didn't know very well. However, given they don't do twin beds I figure if you are already sharing a bed you're probably ok :)

We loved the big open downstairs lounge areas which made you feel right at home and like you could chill in front of one of the TV's or eat your breakfast at one of the apple macs while surfing the net. Much nicer and less formal than a traditional breakfast room set up! Breakfast was a buffet with lots of options including some healthy ones. We didn't eat here in the evening but some food was available.

Location is fantastic within a few minutes walk of all the shops / bars / restaurants but best of all, the staff were all absolutely lovely, made you feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for you (especially Chris). We can't wait for an excuse to visit Glasgow again and stay here!!

Room Tip: Get a room higher up as nice and quiet and not bad views!

I visited CitizenM as my Husband was up there with work, the rooms are small and uber trendy, everything is controlled from a tablet (Blinds, tv, lights) which is really cool and the colour changing light in the toilet shower pod is great fun, the shower pod is a bit like a tardis, loots tiny from in the room but once in there massive, plenty of rooom for 2!! No kettle, not much hanging space but for a weekend away would be ideal.

Room Tip: All rooms are identical

On the train up the Glaswegian girl next to me told me it was a great hotel. She wasn't wrong. The decor is amazing - I kept taking photos for my daughter who is into design. They have obviously decided that the important thing for a traveller is a good bed - it was enormous and so comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. All the electronics were controlled through a tablet - so set the lighting to your mood and wake up to the gentle sound of a ping pong match and Citizen M greeting you on the large TV screen. Free movies and free wifi and the friendliest most helpful staff you could wish for. Breakfast was great and location central. It really is a very different hotel experience. I enjoyed it so much I'm trying to think of a reason to book into the one I've discovered near to my home in London!

Room Tip: Higher rooms give better views of the city - city view rather than courtyard view
