It was just an overnight when going to see Simple Minds at the Hydro..checked in, went out, got back late, slept, showered and off to work.
Great hotel, great amenities, perfect small room with everything you need.. I had been warned by colleagues that with the blinds down you can still see in the room from our office so I used the electric black out curtains to make sure!
Wifi was good, ipid dock worked..the only thing I missed was in room coffee but the coffee in the restaurant was "wake up" strength and perfect.
Staff were really friendly and I will definitely be back but will aim to spend more evening and morning time to take advantage of the facilities!

It was my first stay with Citizen M and it certainly won't be the last.
Everything was just perfect really! The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are big and comfortable. With everything from the lights, entertainment and heating controlled by one remote, it's all just so easy. There is the Self service check-in with help on hand should you need it and the 'canteen' and bar areas have everything from latte to sushi!Staff and management are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to go back!

fairly cheap, considering booked night before. 20% dearer than last minute premier inns, but worth the little extra. dutch themed public rooms, like an ikea hotel. Mod cons very good in room, all controlled touch screen remote. remember to close blinds, both slats and the black outs. known to be a good sight from call centre across the road. and free porn and current movies.

in room shower/toilet with frosted glass wall, multi light choice led shower, really sets ambiance of the room. shower is amazing! plenty room for sharing. although taking a dump may buzz kill. the massive bed is right at window and the walls and window sound proofed. door ...not so much, but hey...just about everyone here knows the script. just a little wink in way in or out, gives the unsaid knowledge " we know, ma man!! we know!.. were all on the same game here! wahahaha!"

all in all and all mischief aside. great little room for great price last minute. bars a bit dear, but i always expect that, all night bar/canteen. sandwiches/sushi yada yada. but massive sandwiches at that. fully loaded triple deckers. and fresh pastries! some very interesting decor and chairs.

definitely recommend for couples. solo and well tbh most as its sound proof, very close to great area at top of town too, everything on door step.

Great budget hotel in central Glasgow. Very comfy bed, rooms were small but everything we needed. Staff are super friendly and very helpful :) Plenty shops/restaurants near by. For the price we paid this hotel was brilliant!

On arrival at the hotel was bit dubious as from outside it hadn't the most attractive look, but the reception staff more than made up for that. Very pleasant and helpful. Our room although quite small was cosy, modern, clean and had everything we needed in it and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was modern and the figgy toiletries were lovely. On the second day our towels were changed. We were booked on an offer - bed, breakfast and evening meal. The one fault we had was the meals on the offer were not to our taste. Staff in the bar and dining room were attentive and lovely. Adding 10% service charge would be off putting when booking again think this should be at the customer discretion if they want to tip or not. Drink very expensive 10% added as drink was put on our food bill!!!!

Great team at this hotel. Loved their approach and interaction and nothing was too much bother. However.....
Not the hotel for us.......I like a hotel where the rooms are more spacious, was like staying in a very small box with different coloured lights. Bathroom did not work for us, fab and clean, however the sink being outside of the bathroom in the bedroom, no...
Like a little more luxury. Tea and coffee facilities is expected, simples really.
As one of our party said, its like a test lab for Ikea......
Overall very different, self serve every point, even at reception, which was a great process, however with all the self serve and basic rooms the price did not reflect this, could get a higher spec hotel at the same price....
Great location, exceptionally clean, breakfast great value for money, however would only return if we got a great deal.....

I honestly can't find a bad thing to say about this hotel. My hubby was disgruntled by the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but I thought it was more than made up for by the handy coffee shop/bar/canteen in the lobby. I say 'lobby' but it was done out like little mini living rooms and workspaces - a bit like a wander through Ikea, but that doesn't do it justice really! It was cosy and fun and I liked hanging out there when we were waiting for friends to turn up, or grabbing a quick morning coffee and muffin.

The room itself was small, but perfectly formed. A huge bed filled one end of the room, and the mahoosive colour-changing shower cubicle took up a large portion of the rest of the space. So, what do you want from your room for a long weekend away? Ultra comfy bed, super trendy waterfall shower, free movies (including a wide selection of saucy films if that floats your boat), a great night's sleep and a comfy place for coffee in the morning.

They refer to the staff as 'Ambassadors' and though it all sounded like marketing nonsense, it turned out that they actually are super helpful, good fun and enthusiastic. A pleasant change from some of the miserable hotel staff we've seen elsewhere (Premier Inn -take note).

It's probably not for families, and really only for VERY close friends - since the walls of the shower are opaque and face into the room.

We loved it though, and will definitely stay here from now on in Glasgow. And we're also planning to try out the other hotels in the chain, Amsterdam, New York and Paris hopefully.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We chose city view, but it ain't much of a view! Courtyard would be much quieter I reckon,
