This is a quirky place in a very positive way! Technologically ahead of the game with everything controlled at the click of a button. You can check yourself in and out which is great but there is always someone there to help if you needed. Staff are very helpful and clearly seem to enjoy what they are doing. Very stylish decor and comfortable surroundings. It is in a great location also close to large shopping centres and 15 minutes from the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for one night on Froday 25th. I arrived at the hotel from the bus station and found it was just a 3 or 4 minute walk, so very handy.

Self service check in was easy and i was helped by a lovely gentleman (I didn't catch his name but I know he was Dutch and had only been there for 3 months, a real credit to the hotel).

My room was just as the pictures show, although not huge there was definately enough room for 2. The bed was brilliant, big enough for 6! There was 4 big feather pillows and a lovely big feather duvet, they felt really top quality. The shower as others have mentioned was also great, powerful pressure, and again, room enough for a couple of people! The room was controlled with the tablet/remote thing and this was easy to use also. I like how you can change the lights and control the TV and temperature all at the same time.

I didn't use the bar or the canteen but it was a hive of activity when I passed and looked like a great place to sit and have a drink.

There were 2 security guards/ night porters? at the doors after 10p, and they were great, lots of banter. Another asset to the hotel.

All in all a fantastic stay and I'd recommend it to all my friends looking to stay in Glasgow.

Room Tip: I chose a courtyard 4th floor room as i thought it would be quiet, and it was, I heard nothing!

A vey funky hotel but way over the top. I'm not sure how Charles and Ray Eames would like the way their designs are used, too Ikea perhaps. The rooms are interesting but not suitable for more than one. No privacy whatsoever, the toilet is next to the bed only separated by a piece of glass. Everything is controlled by a remote control, unfortunately the remote holds power for only 2 minutes ( same in our friends room). Staff is mostly friendly but some are a little bit snotty, self service breakfast is good but plane.
An OK place to stay when you are alone, but not suitable for two, especially not for a romantic vacation.
The location is perfect.

To be honest, since it was our first time staying in a hotel like this with no formal check-in desk and standardized rooms, we were a bit apprehensive, but we don't regret our decision in the least! Self check-in and check-out was easy, and there were representatives available to help or answer questions (for example, at check-in the system gave us a choice of rooms, street/city or "courtyard" view, and we were given the advice that for the floors available, "courtyard" would be quieter).

We really enjoyed the design of the room, and we enjoyed the central controls for everything. While being minimalistic and (presumably) inexpensive in terms of furnishings, it had a lot of character. The only things that weren't up to par were the stool and the weird stuffed animal, which were both showing a lot of wear and tear (worn fabric, old stains). Since neither of those are major things, we weren't too put off by it. The bed was great and super big. Also, for any out-of-country visitors, there are non-UK outlets in the rooms (we brought our own adapter but in case you don't want to bother, it shouldn't be a problem here - check with the hotel to know exactly which ones they are though, I don't recall).

The hotel is conveniently located, at least for the sights we went to see. The parking is off-site, which some might find a nuisance, but it's so close that even in the steady drizzle that was coming down the night of our arrival, we weren't bothered by it (we parked at the Buchanan Galleries garage). It's also a great rate, at less than a third of the regular cost.

Overall, we'd strongly recommend this hotel, as for the rate paid we found it to be good value. We got a good night's sleep and were able to use it as a good base for walking to see Glasgow.

Just had a 2 night stay and will be definatley returning. The staff are more than helpful and will go out of their way to help. Bedroom really different, clean and chic. Centeral for all areas of Glasgow, good bars restaurants etc
The hotel is really different, clean, chic and very unusual.

Room Tip: all rooms are good
