“A very happy birthday indeed :D”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Had a brilliant first time here.
Upon entering, we were kindly directed on how to check in, which took a matter of minutes, really fast :)
Entered the room to find they had left my friend a happy birthday message on the bed, which we thought was very kind and thoughtful.
All the staff were very kind and helpful, there was free wi-fi and computers to use. The movies and channels kept us very entertained when we came back from a day out :)
It was in a very central location (literally minutes away from the center)
Would definitely recommend a stay here :D

Landed in Glasgow to begin my Scotland road trip. Spent a night at the CitizenM before driving off. The location is very good and close to the city. With the size of Glasgow downtown, we could almost walk everywhere we want to shop and to eat.

The rooms are not big but sufficient for travellers. The space are well used that we can still organize pretty well. We like it because the bed are of good quality and the room are clean that give us good rest, which is the most important.

Staff are friendly here and helped us a lot with checking in and with a printer problem.

The only thing annoyed me is the printer... which does not print... Other than that, we love this lovely hotel and would return again if we drop by Glasgow.

The hotel has an great look like nothing I have seen before in a hotel, the staff are great and always willing to help too. The rooms tho lacking in any real storage are amazing so would be ideal for a short stay.

Evrything in the room the tv, blinds, lights and the mood wall is all controlled from one remote control which is very easy to use there is a great selection of films stored on the tv to help beat the boredom. In all great stay would definatly stay again.

Very friendly, helpful staff, good relaxed atmosphere, clean, good breakfast although seating quite strange (high bar stools & breakfast bars or low coffee tables & chairs), did manage to find a "normal" table & 4 chairs but only seen 2 of these. Modern, funky. Unfortunately no dressing table in room to sit at to get ready, do hair, make-up, etc. Had to stand. Room quite small but fine for one or 2 nights. Bed very, very comfy & v large although no space at the side so you have to slide in & out from the bottom! Feather quilt & pillows. Ideal for an overnight or short break. Literally 2 minute walk from Buchannan Galleries/Sauchiehall Street. £10 in taxi to Hampden. Overall good concept. Would return & would recommend.

This hotel prides itself on affordable luxury and, for the price, that is what you get. I booked through booking.com, although found that I could have got the same room for £1 cheaper if I had used the hotel's own website. At under £70 for the night, with an additional £9 for breakfast, it was very good value.

The building is a 10 minute walk from Central Station, so there is no need to get a taxi unless you have lots of luggage - which would be a mistake as the rooms were not good on storage. There is no wardrobe as such, but a space with three hangers. So it is fine if you are staying for a few nights but I think the lack of storage and the size of the room would probably start to grate if I had been in residence for a week.

Upon entering the hotel, you are immediately struck by the design - it is all super cool! The next thing that strikes you is the staff are all incredible helpful and friendly. They actually smile all the time and genuinely seem to care.

By reception, there is a cool bar - which sells cocktails at only £6 each. There is also a shop area, selling magazines and light meals (eg sushi). This doubles as the breakfast service area/dining room in the morning. There is also a lounge, with a selection of comfy chairs and free use of Apple computers - although there is free wifi throughout the hotel.

The bedrooms are very well designed rooms with a large TV and access to many stations in a variety of languages, as well as free videos and music. There is a small desk for those who wish to work. The "bathroom" has a fantastic "rain shower" as well as nice toiletries. Other mod-cons include a safe in bedroom, automatic blinds on the windows and even a cuddly toy! There are no tea or coffee making facilities, though. Ironing stations are on every floor.

My only disappointment was the "Scottish" breakfast. It was just warm and only made a passing nod to Scotland. There were no fried eggs - just omelette, sausage, bacon. The bread for toast was also of the cheap variety and the fresh fruit salad was a bit limited. But the choice of juices was good, there was some nice yoghurt, and the coffee was excellent.

I would definitely stay again, although I might skip breakfast and eat out instead.

Room Tip: If staying a few days, try the breakfast once but perhaps go elsewhere on other days. There were pu...
