I've been going to the Anarkali for the last 5 years and never had a bad meal. The food is always freshly cooked and with the generous portions I always have enough left to take away for lunch the next day. There pashwari naan tops off a meal beautifully. I read on another post that it was not particularly romantic given that it has a thriving take away business too, I would agree but I am left to question who takes their other half on a romantic meal to any curry house? Value for money, a great feed and to top it off bring your own bottle with no corkage! Brilliant!

As is highlighted in my title, this in my opinion if the best Inidian restaurant in Glasgow. Whether you want take away or want to sit in you'll find that it's amazing value for money and you get exc ellent portion sizes of top notch food. Add to that if your sitting in it's bring your own booze at no extra charge then your onto a winner.

Would highly recomment.

The Anarkali on Victoria Road has no changed on the outside since i was a toddler. It has had a makeover inside and is every bit the modern Indian.
The food is good old fashioned Indian food that you ate in the 80's and it has not changed or succumbed to the modern world!
You can take your own alcohol and there is NO corkage charge, the food is fresh and the service okay, it can be hit or miss.
Fridays and Saturdays can attract the uncouth drunks looking to park there backsides and drink copious amounts of cheap supermarket alcohol!
That aside it is still a good place to go, more a work night out rather than a romantic meal for two!

We use this restaurant for both sitting in and carry out. The food is great and very good value. When using as carry out we actually pass 5 Indian restaurants to get to this one!! Staff very friendly too. Not forgetting that you can take your own alcohol.

Ordered a chicken tikka meal for one and that was enough for two people. It arrived hot and the delivery was very quick considering the distance it was travelled. The food was delicious and the price exceptional for the amount we got. Would highly recommend and will definitely order again.
