Revisited The Ivy today for lunch with a close friend...we were not disappointed! Although not having booked we were still made most welcome and accommodated with seating at the bar...great fun! A super lunch was enjoyed by us both, dishes all chosen from the very reasonably priced lunch menu. This was followed by very attentive and professional service from Paul and Robyn whereby we enjoyed superb cocktails whilst continuing to relax in the friendly atmosphere. A super afternoon!

Firstly, the welcome from staff is very warm and friendly. The bar and waiting staff are excellent and the cocktails are fab.
We arrived early for our table, so were shown to a seat at the upstairs bar to enjoy some drinks until our table was ready. There was a group of rather drunk and loud "posh" females hanging off the bar, language was choice, but fortunately they left before we were seated.
I Ordered the mushroom starter and my daughter had the prawns and squid, both delicious. Mains, she had the a Moroccan chicken (amazing) I had the sole mueniere (not so good) fish was undercooked. We ordered biscuits and cheese, unfortunately the crackers were like cardboard, no butter supplied, so very dry and not pleasant.
Nice background music going on courtesy of a DJ and a saxophonist. Decor and the surroundings are beautiful,it is comfortable and has a good ambience, although by the time we were finishing our meal, there were a couple at the bar, again the female rather drunk, hanging off the guy she was with with a load of PDA chucked in for good measure. All good for the digestion!!
So, the food is good....though not amaizing. The staff are fabulous,as are the cocktails, prices not too outrageous, although I do object to the automatic 12% service charge, this should be a personal choice,so Just a couple of niggles, but not enough to put me off returning for either drinks or to dine. It is a beautiful, and friendly restaurant with an indulgent feel about it. The pluses far outweigh the minus.

Best cocktails in Glasgow. We sat up at the bar before and after going elsewhere for a pre arranged dinner but I would definitely return for food. Cocktails were superb, served by a lovely girl. Nice atmosphere.

Returned for my wife’s birthday and as usual it is everything we hoped for and more . Our waiter Ewan was fantastic, extremely professional with the right side of friendliness and a very knowledgeable sommelier. He definitely made the whole experience for us . The food is something else , not as expensive as you would expect and beautifully presented . Everything about the Ivy delivers, there is a wealth of restaurants in Glasgow but this is top of the league when it comes to service and quality .

Excellent all round. Food and drink was just perfect! A party of four, starters, mains, shared puddings & a couple of drinks each. Excellent staff & not rushed. Beautiful surroundings. Would advise to book! Only slight downside that they automatically add a service charge. For a table of four slightly disappointing as we would have left a decent tip anyway but hate when places do this.
