The restaurant is nice and the chef was entertaining. We started with sushi, which was ok. We also had chicken dishes, with rice and veg and all food tastes of butter! A bit overpriced.

Having been to other Teppenyaki restaurants we booked here for a birthday dinner & were really looking forward to it. Yes it was fun, the chef was entertaining but the 'show' was a little shorter than we'd experienced before. The food was ok, pretty tasty on the whole, but a bit overpriced. The cocktails were very weak, too much ice for the price. Enjoyed our evening but would we go back? Probably not

“great food and entertainment”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

We had a superb meal with chef entertainment as he cooked in front of us. Children at same station as us also had a great time. The chef was not only a great cook but also kept us amused as he cooked.

“Massively overpriced”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We were in Glasgow for a short break. Went to Sapporo on the spur of the moment and were unable to get a table at the teppanyaki bar where they cook the food in front of you- fair enough as we hadn't booked. We were seated in the bar area instead. Looked at the menu and saw the prices were the same as the teppanyaki bar-no reduction for the lack of theatre. I felt the prices were very high but thought maybe the food was pretty outstanding- it would have to have been for the prices charged. My husband ordered teppanyaki noodles with pork for £17.95. They arrived-on a fairly small plate with about 4 slices of pork sitting on top. I could have bought the same quality in a shopping mall food hall for £4 to £5. My vegetable teppanyaki noodles at £13.95 were the same as my husands minus the pork. My daughter ordered a side of udon noodles for around £3.95 and that looked much the same as our noodles! Rest of the food was lovely but very, very expensive for what you got.

“Unusual”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The food was really good, the staff were really interactive and teppanyaki is always exciting. Only gripes is that the decor is a bit garish and didn't really enjoy having a bit of hot potato thrown at my face multiple times.
