“First Visit - Good family place with good food.”

nice atmosphere, kids friendly with good food and service. Though there was nothing to complain about but still noticed that staff never checked back. Over all great evening and kids enjoyed too.

“Dissapointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Ordered the 'Organic seared sea bass with lemon and herbs served on risotto primavera' but I asked for the dish to be served with a 'warm salad of sauté potatoes, chorizo and black pudding' instead of the risotto.

I ended up with a pile of lukewarm mash potatoes, a small portion of green salad and two tiny pieces of overcooked and very dry sea bass (not much bigger than a mackerel fillet). It was not worth £16.50.

“Fully booked in January- must be good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

Never expected on a cold and snowy january night for the restaurant to be fully booked, so was somewhat surprised not to be able to get a table until 8.30pm at the earliest. Having met our friends in the bar at 7.30, we were very well looked after until the table became available just prior to 9pm. With one of our party diabetic, we were kept informed of our tables availability and given plenty to nibble whilst waiting. Two of our party chose Steak- one very good and one very tough.
Our complaint was dealt with effectively and professionally and we would certainly return as the rest of the meal and service was both good and friendly. We could well see why this restaurant is so popular in the west end.

“Fantastic service!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

I used to live round the corner from this restaurant so visited a few times, but typically the last time we went just before I moved was the best meal we've ever had there! The menu is great, lots of variety on top of the pizza and pasta you'd expect so something to tempt everyone. The real star of the show was our waitress who was so friendly and efficient, we could not praise her enough and she really made our visit quite special. A great wee restaurant.

“First Rate Food Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Went earlier this week on Early Evening Deal - either 2 Courses and glass of Wine for £12 or free starter off A la Carte menu. We all decided to go for the latter and the food was absolutely outstanding. Had scallops with Stornoway Black Pudding and winter salad for starters - just great followed by king prawns with risotto- all for the price of the main course £11.95 with the starter at £7.95 free. What value and what quality!!
Service was on the slow side but with each dish cooked to order that is quite acceptable. Have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant - ambience good and staff so helpful.
