Description: KoolBa is a warm, modern, and inviting authentic Indian restaurant in Glasgow, located in the heart of the Merchant City. We have worked hard and KoolBa has now become synonymous with quality Indian and Persian cuisine. We have achieved this with our commitment to using the best local produce, fresh herbs, carefully selected whole spices, but above all offering genuine appreciation and care to all of our customers. We are committed to providing freshly made to order dishes to Glasgow's diners. Some customers enjoy switching between our Indian and Persian dishes with each course, and in particular, many of our regular diners recommend our homemade chicken pakora as a firm favourite, along with freshly made peshwari naan. Open for Merchant City Festival from 20/07 Monday Noon till the end of July!

“Best curry in Glasgow”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

Keep going back to this fab wee restaurant as the staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is freshly cooked and they have a decent selection of wines available. The pre-theatre menu gives you two courses for £10.95 and portions are very generous making it great value for money. For two people, two courses, dessert and bottle of wine, we paid £44......hard to beat for a tasty, quality meal! Thoroughly recommend checking out this little gem in the Merchant City. (luckily for me, I live just around the corner :-)

“Best Indian Restaurant in Glasgow”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Just back from our 3rd visit to Koolba and once again the food was amazing. The staff are helpful and friendly and nothing is too much bother. This has to be the best Indian food we have had and the prices were reasonable. A must for any curry lover. Maureen, Glasgow.

“Just Really Good”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Always freshly prepared and served with courtesy and attention. A really good menu with that little sense of being that bit different from other similar restaurants. Well worth visiting and I always recommend friends who are visiting Glasgow to visit Koolba.

“One of the best curries I've tasted”
Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

Right in the heart of the thriving merchant city area of Glasgow, this curry house more than competes with it close rivals. Curries taste fantastic, nan bread melts in your mouth, staff friendly and helpful and surrounding pleasant. Lunchtime and pre theatre meal deals are excellent value. A la carte is slightly more expensive than your run of the mill Indian restaurant but is more than worth it as it's sooo much better.

“Great Food”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

Four of us visited Koolba at the weekend for the first time, due to the excellent reviews it has been receiving on tripadvisor. On arrival we were shown to our table straight away, none of the table is not ready but please have a drink at the bar. The waiter asked if we had been before. He then processed to direct us through the menu and wine list, very nice touch. We went for the combo starter for four which was excellent; the fish pakora was to die for. We all had different mains, again no complaints here, all the food tasted great, slight grumble was way do you have to order rice as surely this should come with your meal. Once the plates were taken away nobody asked if we would like to look at the dessert menu, cost them two desserts. The bill was reasonable for four with two bottles of wine. Overall food was great and I would highly recommend having a meal here if you are looking to go somewhere special.
