Description: KoolBa is a warm, modern, and inviting authentic Indian restaurant in Glasgow, located in the heart of the Merchant City. We have worked hard and KoolBa has now become synonymous with quality Indian and Persian cuisine. We have achieved this with our commitment to using the best local produce, fresh herbs, carefully selected whole spices, but above all offering genuine appreciation and care to all of our customers. We are committed to providing freshly made to order dishes to Glasgow's diners. Some customers enjoy switching between our Indian and Persian dishes with each course, and in particular, many of our regular diners recommend our homemade chicken pakora as a firm favourite, along with freshly made peshwari naan. Open for Merchant City Festival from 20/07 Monday Noon till the end of July!

Been to KoolBa a few times now and the food has always been delicious and reasonably priced. Not a traditional Indian restaurant - def has a Middle Eastern or Arabic flavour to the menu. If you can't manage a full main course you can opt for a selection of starters and side dishes instead which is a nice option. Also very interesting wall decor and furnishings.
Love it.

Having been here twice and found it delicious, best Peshawari nan in Glasgow, we were seriously disappointed the third time. Food was average, service appalling as if they couldn't care less if you came or not. Won't go again in a hurry. You don't get what you pay for.

We Went to Kool Ba for the 1st time last night. The food was amazing! 1 of the best (if not the best) Indian meals we have ever had! The staff and service were also excellent. Only negative was some of the pricing eg over £4 for a peshwari naan which was quite small. Overall it was a great meal & we will definitely be back!

Our family are self confessed curry addicts, and regularly eat out at a variety of restaurants. We tried Koolba for the first time last night and while it wasn't bad as such, it wasn't particularly great either. Few points to note;

Pakora comes with a mayonnaise dip instead of the normal pakora sauce you get in restaurants. I like trying new things but this was bland and the pakora was greasy, so all in all was probably the lowest point of the meal. Would definitely not order again!

Peshwari naan was ok, definitely not the best I've had, and at £4.35 (??!!) is widely overpriced!!!!And quite small as well!!!

Service was rubbish, waiters rude and standoffish, had to be promped to replenish cutlery and drinks. Not impressed.

The restaurant 'doesn't do' lamb tikka which left one member of our party stuck with a plain old veg curry. Not so good!!

Chicken chaat was delicious!

Korma and chasni were both nice but a bit sweet and sickly.

Portions quite small, especially what you pay for.

Overall I would say there are better restaurants in Glasgow like Mother India, Assams, Bombay Blues and Village. All far more reasonably priced as well!!!

Really nice meal, decent sized portions some may say small but I suppose it depends how big your belly is!
