This is a buzzing informal restaurant with very helpful professional staff. The tables are close together and the ceiling is low, but this contributes to the atmosphere of a bustling bistro. The price of the wine is excellent about £13.00, so the bill is not inflated by this.

My husband had the warm mackerel salad and the Stifado - both very good. I had the potted pork, with lovely marmalade and the chicken with black pudding crush. Again very good. We were not disappointed despite eating at the Two Fat Ladies City last time - the final bill was less than half of the but the food was as good quality as it's more upmarket siblings.

Booked here as the Buttery upstairs was fully booked. Disappointed overall, very cramped for a start so not condusive to a relaxed atmosphere. The set menu which was available was not great value, food fairly poor quality, soup and meatloaf tasteless though cheeseboard selection was a choice in set menu. Will not be back.

We has tried to booked a meal for New Year 2013 but left it a little late. Instead, we went for dinner the evening before and were extremely impressed.

The two waitresses were superb - friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We went for the three course menu with half a bottle of house wine. Food was delicious, beautifully presented with decent portions. The 'dining room' atmosphere was terrific and made for a relaxing meal.

Would definitely visit here again on our next trip to a Glasgow.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch at this very nice Restaurant. Food was delicious, well presented and appropriately priced. The waiter was extremely helpful, patiently making up a liqueur to our specification. A very pleasant experience.

This is not an easy place to find as it is in what appears to be a housing estate in a street cut off by the motorway but we were staying at the nearby Hilton and the restaurant staff told us how to get there. We made a last minute reservation for a Wednesday evening and found that the place was full so it can't be impossible to find, my guess is that most of the people are regulars and there was a Christmas party group in (not even Dec yet!!). Unfortunately we had a seat where the heating vents are underneath and so even though it was cold outside it was uncomfortably hot at our table.

The menu is a set price for 2 or 3 courses with plenty of choice for each, the food was good although my belly pork was even fattier than you would normally expect so quite a lot was left.

Service was OK although it took 30 minutes between finishing the main course and getting the dessert, that was just stretching patience a bit far.

Value is good, we paid £39 for 2 of us (only 1 had dessert) and a bottle of wine.

So, definitely worth trying to find if we are in Glasgow again.
