We visited this restaurant last night as a group of 7. The restaurant has a small warm cosy feel to it. When we were seated it was quite sometime before we were even offered a drink whilst we looked at the menu. Overall I was very impressed by the food served throughout our meal - no one at the table had any complaints regarding food at all. Where I felt let the team down was the service we were given - there were 2 waitresses that I was aware of for the whole restaurant - there were 3 occasions we had requested something from the serving staff & they were forgotten drinks, condiments etc this sometimes happens especially when restaurants are busy but the staff seemed unenthusiastic & dis interested - I put this down to the fact it was just after Christmas - but did take away from our experience as we had all heard such good things about this restaurant.

Went searching for Shandon Belles after reading so many good reviews on TripAdvisor; and they were right. Friendly and efficient service, despite it being the very busy Christmas period. The menu was not too long or complicated and the food excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable night out was completed with coffee served in finest English china cups; a nice touch!

Ate here on Sunday night and start to finish was great - fancied this place after reading Tam Cowan's review in the Daily Record. Service, food and value for money was terrific. £15 for 2 courses and £18 for 3 with a great choice of dishes. I had the chorizo risotto with a pimento cream and followed it up with a lovely pork dish served with a haggis mash and puy lentil sauce and veg. Citrus cheesecake topped it all off nicely.

One thing I liked was that you could buy a half bottle of house wine for £6.00 (bargain) which allowed me to have red while my partner had the white.

Will definately be back! - although I hope Michael Buble will be banned by then - he's awful and was played the whole time!!! Lol :-)
