I had lunch there with OH last month. I chose from the set menu which had a really good variety. I have been in twice before for dinner and rate the food highly. I love the petit fours which accompany the tea/coffee at the end. Also recommend the grande dessert for a group of diners as it gives you a taste of all their sweet things! The service is attentive but not intrusive and i would describe the ambience as dining at a posh relatives house :) cos of the way its decorated and set up of the tables, quaintly homey. Enjoy if you go!

We have just returned from a family celebratory lunch at the Buttery and once again are delighted with the superb food, service, care and attention to detail. Our party included a toddler and everything possible was done to make our lunch relaxed and comfortable for our party.
This restaurant is famous in Glasgow and popular with us for birthdays and Christmas and it just gets better with every visit. The menu and wine list are comprehensive and the fish is always a sumptuous treat. Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery is justifiably one of the very best restaurants in Glasgow and in fact - anywhere.

Booked for our anniversary having been given several recommendations and also have always wanted to go.
We were given a lovely welcome and even a mention to enjoy our anniversary ( a nice touch I thought couldn't even remember I had told them that when i booked) Interior is grand yet fitting not over the top!. Menu had a great selection it was difficult for us to choose as included all foods we both really love. We finally opted for mussels and cullen skink which were absolutely delicious. Mains were the monkfish and an amazingly cooked to perfection melt in your mouth steak!! Service was extremely attentive, not intrusive. The wine recommendation was perfect for our meal selection, thanks for that!! No room for desserts, coffees and petit fours were nice end to a lovely evening. We did not think menu was overpriced, we are always happy to pay for quality when it is fitting and this certainly was!!! Would definitely return and certainly will highly recommend..

Celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary recently with dinner at the "Buttery" for our family.
The choice and quality of food was first class as was the friendly efficient service.
The "Buttery" certainly lived up to its very high "tripadvisor" rating and made a significant contribution to our special occasion.
