It was this site that made me come here and also the fact that it was on the same street as my hotel so not far to walk back.

From outside the place looks like it's closed down and doesn't look too inviting but as you enter it's like stepping back in time.

The greeting on arrival was sincere and not false, I walked in wearing casual to see every diner dressed right up and checked if there was a dress code, there isn't and it was fine.

Really friendly attentive staff, great drinks range and everything we ate was delicious and beautifully presented, what a shame I was there with a work colleague and not the other half! Next time we're in Glasgow we'll be visiting Two Fat Ladies at at least one of their venues!

picked this restaurant because of previous reviews and not in the least bit disappointed, just wanted to say we are currently on a budget so went for the early evening dinner which is a set price of £18 for three courses, this way you get the fantastic food, service and atmosphere at a budget! We tend to eat out this way regularly to try and save a bit money and also do not like eating too late and to be honest in many places you find as if you are being treated second class by the waiting staff as you are not big spenders, well it most certainly did not feel like this at the buttery the service was amazing and they really make you feel special. A lovely treat for an evening out. Top tip if you don't want to walk from the city take the train to Anderston train stationwhich is very close to the restaurant.

Four of us ate at the Buttery 21 May, on our last night in Scotland after a two week vacation. We had had some great meals during the visit, from fresh but simple pub food to some truly gourmet fare. Dinner at the Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery was the perfect way to cap off a fun holiday. We made reservations that afternoon for a Saturday night, based in large part on Trip Advisor ratings. It came as no surprise that we had to be seated at 5:30 to get in before a seating too late for us. What was a surprise was the elegance of the venue (in a pretty ordinary neighborhood just past the motorway), the private dining room seating (okay, maybe they had heard about us), and the delightful food and service. We had found, after two weeks, that the Scots have got warm and attentive customer service down pat so saying that the level of service here was exceptional is saying something, but it was. We benefited from our early seating by being able to take advantage of the "pre-theatre" menu - two or three courses for 18 or 22 pounds I think it was. Certainly, the a la carte offerings are significantly more expensive if you want two or three courses. Some lovely wines available by the glass. Exceptional food, beautifully prepared and served. Thank you for topping off our vacation in just the right way.

Wonderful in every way. Definitely the place to go if you want to have an authentic experience. Food and wine just so tasty. The service was great. I loved the variety of tea cups and spoons served with your coffee. Attention to detail is really unique to restaurants these days and I enjoyed the whole thing . I definitely recommend!!!!!

The food, and the service was perfect. It was hard to find the restaurant without taking a cab. Once we got there the food, the bread, the wine and the dessert platter (grand dessert) was fab!

They even had towels in the bath room instead of those hot air blowers. Th atmosphere was really fancy but worm and had a homly feeling too it all.
