Description: Ask any Glaswegian for directions to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and they're sure to say "D'you know the Ashoka West End?" Immortalised as a famous culinary landmark, it sits on the corner of the longest street and shortest road in the city, and shines like a beacon and acts like a magnet to Glasgow's colossal curry eating fraternity. This is the first ever Ashoka started in 1973

went with a friend tonight on a £15 groupon, cant complain about the price, was good value! mixed starter was nice but made the mistake of ordering a lamb biryani, was not very nice and only had one tiny lamb chop on it. wish i had ordered a korma instead, staff very friendly, would return but definitely sticking to curry's i know.

I have enjoyed many a lovely meal in the Ashoka West End , the service , atmosphere and especially the food is second to none . I have used many of the deals that they offer between 5pm and Yes Deal On , but no matter what the food and service has always been very good.
My favourite dish is Rogan Josh ...Delicious, can't recommend it enough .

This is easily the best Indian restaurant in the west of Scotland, if not the whole country. The food is of a very high standard, consistently excellent, and always delicious. Everywhere else pales into mediocrity.

Dined in this restaurant on way to see Michael Mcintyre on the 5pm deal two courses for £9.95 which included a drink, a small wine, but the staff were happy to change this for a half pint of beer for the guys. The food was excellent value for money. Haven't been in this Ashoka for a long time and we were not disappointed. Would highly recommned the food and the waiters are very pleasant and friendly. We wil be back.

dined in this restaurant on a thursday night couple of weeks ago on way to SECC, ordered off the £10.95 two course with rice or nan and ordered couple of drinks. Food was lovely and waiters very pleasant. Was happy to pay the bill along with the £7 drinks tab until we got outside and noticed a sandwich board which said that a drink was included in the £10.95 price. Went back inside and spoke to the manager or head waiter to say that we hadn't been told about the drink and his answer was that it was up to me to inform the waiter about the free drink and not other way round and that I should have noticed the board on way in, I would also have thought that the drink promo should have been on the menu. I was not impressed and wont be back which is a shame as really enjoyed food but felt conned.
