“Great Food and Excellent Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Last minute decision to go out and a birthday dinner with the family. First time at the Ashoka and was impressed with the friendly service. They even dragged the staff out to sing happy birthday along with a ice cream dessert and candle, plus they gave my wife a free double vodka on the house as I was driving ;-( all in all a great experience with good selection of food as well which kept the kids happy. Will be back.

My friend booked a table via 5pm last month. It's is a really nice restaurant with great ambiance and some really nice staff. The best part of this restaurant is tat they got a nice view to the Clyde river. However the food is not tat great compared to other Ashoka restaurant .

“rip off”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Not impressed at all. Went here on spec and giving that we all enjoy indian food, eat out regular and have enjoyed other restaurants from harlequin chain, we assumed we were onto a winner. How wrong we were. Service was terrible. The order was wrong~the whole order, we were all given chicken tikka when we specified plain chicken in our dishes (obviously an extra charge for this), the rice was of a miniscule portion but £2.75 a pop the guys in our company had to have 2 portions each and even then had to wait 10 mins before jolting the staffs memory. When it came to clearing the table it took 3 members of staff purely due to the fact that we were complaining. We did say to the manager on the way out but his attitude was very lax and here didn't really care. The only positive thing about the whole experience was that the food was nice but none of us are prepared to revisit this experience regardless of how the food tasted. Maybe we had an off night, who knows, but why waste your money giving this a to when there are plenty other good restaurants around.

“Rubbish”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Was upset by how poor the food was.

Didn't expect the food to be as bad as it was. Been to other places and the food is much nicer.

Won't be back
