“An opportunity to try different dishes”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

It is a very busy place thus meaning popular place. People come here to EAT. Variety of usual dishes on offer (Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian and carvery, although it is not very good) -starters, soups, main courses and sweets. Due to place being so busy food is fresh. It is the best buffet chain around Glasgow. And the clue for people who are seeking 'fine dining ' is in the name- it is called 'buffet'.

“No room at the Inn!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We had pre booked a table here for mothers day. When we turned up we were left standing for a good 10 minutes before my husband managed to get the attention of a waiter holding a clip board. My husband explained we had booked a table, the waiter checked his clipboard and snapped no name here go and stand over there and directed us towards the bar area where there were lots of people standing and sitting around obviously waiting on a table. We had booked our table for 6.30pm it was now 6.50pm and no one had come near us to explain how long or indeed if we were going to get a table. It was obvious to everyone they had taken too many bookings and were struggling to cope and the waiter with the clipboard was blatently ignoring everyone who was asking how long they would have to wait. It was chaos. Needless to say after another 10 minutes of standing around being ignored we left. I still have the booking confirmation they sent me, which be warned is worth nothing to them if they are busy, you will still be made to wait. Thankyou World Buffet for spoiling what should have been a lovely mothers day meal with my family. It was the first and last time we will be in. I would also question your choice of front of house man, he is not very welcoming and really quite rude. Can't be doing your customer relations much good!!

“Great value !”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Trick is to go when it is busy but not too busy as you might need to wait in a queue to get in !! If you go when it is quiet the food has been left out and dries up and the choice is not so good. It's not "fine" dining but it is excellent value for money.

“Do not eat here, very poor customer service”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

Me and a friend went into the world buffet at Darnley, Glasgow on 23-02-13 and were met at the door by the most rude man, holding a clip board. He asked if we had pre-booked a table, which we had not and he then sharply directed us to the bar area and told us to wait there. When asked how long we would have to wait, he snarled at us stating he didn't know and pointed at us to sit down at the bar area (he did not take our name, we were not given a number). Once we joined what appeared to be a very long queue of others, (who also weren't informed how long they would have to wait) we asked a lovely, pleasent waitress, could she tell us how long it would be until we were seated. She immediately dealt with our request and spoke to "rude man" with clip board, who then returned to us and snapped at the waitress "go and do your job and I'll do mine". He then aggressively stated to me and my friend, "what do you mean you've been waiting for a long time, your only through the door" To which me and my friend made clear to him, 1. at no point did we state we had been waiting for long time and 2. he was being very rude to other staff including the customers (me and friend). He couldn't see it, stating he wasn't being rude. We asked yet again how long we would have to wait to be seated and again we were snapped at by this man who stated he did not know and ordered us to sit down (there were no seats in bar waiting area - judging by his rudeness, he probably would have expected us to sit on the floor) Needless to say me and my friend left immediately and will neeeeeever return to that place. The customer service is crap and as for "rude man" with his mostache and clip board - you #@?/ - have you never heard of customer service, clearly not!!
