My wife and I were on a short break in Glasgow for her 70th birthday. Hotel, a show, a look round the local attractions and, importantly, a good meal. I used Tripadviser to pick out this restaurant and was certainly not disappointed. It is small, and intimate with great staff who made us feel very welcome.
We ate crab and prawn dumplings, steak bavette, braised ramsay’s of Carluke pork belly and finished off with lavender panna-cotta. Good wine drinks and coffee and a very reasonable bill and it is safe to say that we had enjoyed one of the best meals we have ever had! In fact, we were so impressed we had reserved a table for lunch the following day before we had left the restaurant that evening.
The next day's lunch was, once again, superb and now we plan another short break to Glasgow in the New Year, central to which will be meals at No 16!
The restaurant is small but adds credence to the old saying the "Good things come in small packages". Thanks Joel and his staff for making an old couple extremely happy.
