Had a great birthday dinner! The crab and prawn dumplings in Asian style broth was flavourful and delicately aromatic. Pork Belly was the BEST I have ever had!! Sticky Toffee pudding was surprisingly light for this well know hearty dessert. Wine prices were good and on a Sunday you can bring your own bottle with no corkage! The restaurant is small and bijou but it added to the ambience! Excellent chefs and friendly efficient staff. Reservations needed even midweek! I went on recommendation of tripadvisor as I did not know anyone who had been. Enjoy!

This is a very unassuming venue(it's a tiny gem of a place) but once through the door and seated you begin very quickly to understand the basis for its excellent reputation. The staff are relaxed and banter with the diners while effortlessly negotiating the restrictions that the limited space imposes ensuring you feel like a very welcome guest. The menu is not huge but everything is prepared and presented with the utmost attention to detail and flavour. The pan-seared rainbow trout starter was sweet as a nut and the slow-cooked pork belly main was just fantastic with the best black pudding(served in a croquette) in the universe. The wine selection is excellent. It was great to see the place buzzing with visitors to the city and locals alike. Can't wait till next time!

We booked this for a special night out as it was so highly recommended on tripadvisor. We had booked for 7 pm and had the choice of either the pre-theatre or a la carte menus. Having looked at both we opted for the pre-theatre as we both would have chosen the same meals from the main menu.

I had sweet potato broth, which was fresh and aromatic, followed by the sea bream, which was well cooked with a perfectly crispy skin. My husband chose the crab and prawn dumplings, which were warmly spiced and then the pork belly, this was meltingly tender. The desserts were also excellent - we went for sticky toffee pudding and the dark chocolate cheesecake. Portion sizes were perfect for a three course meal.

Service was attentive and courteous, when we were ready for our bill I just looked up and someone came over straight away. Close to Kelvinhall tube station so also ideal if you want to have wine with your meal.

Overall a real find and highly recommended.

18th birthday dinner for 7. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, with a good choice. Same with the wine, with staff who are knowledgeable about the wine list. The price was very reasonable, less than £30 per head, for a great 3 course meal, wine, drinks and coffee. The restaurant is very small so will not suit large groups too well. That is the only slightly negative point about the restaurant.
