“Lovely, stylish centrally located apartment”

Stayed over the weekend with my husband and young kids (5 year old and 3 month old), the apartment is well laid out and spacious for a 2 bedroom. Although it's a basement flat, it was lovely and bright. The kitchen is well equipped and beds comfy. The location is excellent, nice quiet street within walking distance of the hub of the West End. The only minus we found was that although the flat offers off street parking, we found it a bit tight for our car (Mazda 6), so we paid to park on the street, but it would be fine for smaller cars.

“Excellent apartment - exceeded our expectations”

I stayed here with my mum and brother for 3 nights over Christmas and could not fault any aspect of it. The housekeeper kindly met us, showed us around the flat and left some wine and chocolates! The flat is very well decorated and maintained and is in an excellent, quiet location, close to the restaurants, bars and shops of Byers Road and Kelvinbridge subway station for easy travel into the city centre. Free parking space too.

“Fantastic”

Fantastic stay in this gorgeous apartment. What can i say everything about this apartment was amazing. I stayed for a weekend with my mum and the location was perfect, 5 minutes walk from Byres Road and a tube ride into the centre although we did walk it one day too. The apartment itself is gorgeous and well equipped with everything you need if you are eating in. The weekend we stayed it rained the entire time so was nice to go back to somewhere so warm and welcoming. The double shower heads where a nice touch and allowed you to choose which one you would prefer. I normally have trouble sleeping but I was sleeping in beyond 9 in here it was so quiet, warm and dark of a night in the bedrooms. Betty the housekeeper met us on arrival and left us with her number in case we had any queries or problems, she was very welcoming and helpful. Would defo recommend and would defo stay there again when I next return to Glasgow.

“Lovely apartment, couldn't fault it”
Reviewed October 5, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This basement apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard. The kitchen and bathroom are especially impressive with high quality fittings. It is in a quiet road, yet not far from the city centre, and shops and restaurants on the Great Western Road. The owner is very helpful.

I could happily move in tomorrow and live there for good!

“Enjoyable stay!”
Reviewed September 6, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a very pleasant week staying at 21A as the first part of our trip to Scotland. We found the area very safe & quiet. Also it is in a very convenient location as it is a short walk to many cafes, restaurants, shops . We also were easily able to walk to the Botanical gardens where we caught the hop on off tour bus.
As for the apartment itself - it has been beautifully renovated to a high standard. The kitchen was really fantastic with lots of extras - although it took a bit of time for us to get the induction hob working but all the instructions for the appliances are there as a guide. There is plenty of china & cutlery so it was easy to make good use of the dishwasher. There are also some basics in the cupboard to get started with.
The bed we used was quite comfortable but you could feel the join between the two beds. Linen was nice & crisp & clean & towels large which is always a plus.
The shower was really good but the toilet area was very cramped but overall a good bathroom as it was great not to have a shower over the bath which gets more difficult as one gets older.
The washer was great & we were easily able to get the washing done & dried ready to move on to differing types of accommodation.
Having the TV in the bedroom was also good as we could hop into bed & finish off a program in comfort.
The off street parking is a real plus although the first day we took the car out we scraped the side on the low stone which was upsetting especially with a hire car - so care needs to be taken to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else!
Overall the whole apartment was very clean & comfortable with the exception of some food not wiped out of the oven & microwave - easily overlooked.
The only negative would be that as we arrived straight from London on the train ( picked up car later in the week) we had no idea of where we were & how to get anywhere - a tourist map or notes on buses would have been really helpful - we did, however manage sufficiently well enough.
The only other thing that would have made the apartment even more perfect would have been an outlook as we didn't realize that it was below street level & was a bit dull & gloomy on some days.
On the whole a lovely stay in both 21A & Glasgow.

“Excellent Flat”
Reviewed July 27, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This place was wonderful. The housekeeper was great - that flat was clean and fully stocked with nearly anything that you need. My only complaint is that it needed some cooking utensils and the drain in the shower doesn't keep up with the water so the bathroom floor was a little wet after showering. Other than that, you can't beat the location or the comfort of the flat. It beats a hotel room for sure and is decorated so professionally. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a comfortable time in Glasgow.
