I visited Lamora for the first time for my birthday meal and it was delicious, yet very filling! The restaurant is quite small, yet pretty big in comparison to some nearby (Crabshakk, Athena etc) and we got a nice window seat. We went for the set pre theatre menu, which we thought would not be as filling as a la carte, so ordered a side dish and starters. How wrong were we? I plumped for the insalata caprese, which was just right in portion size and hit the spot. The other half went for the calmari, which he said was lovely and came in a HUGE portion. He was very impressed by this and the quality. We both went for pizza for the main, which again, were big and the toppings extremely generous. A side order was a serious mistake at this stage, but the few chips I mustered were lovely. The service was cheery and swift. Not much can be faulted about Lamora and to top it off, two starters, two mains, a side dish and two large cokes came to a very reasonable £29. Italian restaurants are plentiful in Glasgow and I have tried a good few, but this was definitely one of the best.

Food was wonderful, Very busy wee place, seen people being turned away for not booking, maybe time to extend the restaurant. Once again the food was exceptional and I will definitely be returning here when next in Glasgow. Highly recommended

Took a trip down to LaMora as advised.
After being in the southern Med on Hol's Thought it would be run of the Mill.
Could not believe the Quality and size of portions. Complimented the chef on first night.
Welcome & seating, first class. Were served by a lovely young girl, a bit whaky, bit forgetfull but we still wanted to take her home.
The thing about this restaurant is, there is no pressure on you & when you order it comes as expected.
The Goats Cheese Starter recieved Max points. Calamari starter, Loads, very good.. Cod special V.Good. Sea Bass Main V.Good.
Second night. The Veal was delish, sadly the slow cooked beef should never have got past the pass. (Chef where were you ?) The OLIVES Were Beyond Description, Fantastic.
All in All Very Good Experience

This restaurant is a total hidden Italian gem. The food is outstanding as is the service loved it. It's Italy outside of Italy. Recommend the calamari.
