service and food was excellent. The only adverse comment I would make is the fact there were 2 different types of music being played which assaulted my senses. However, on leaving the upstairs restaurant discovered there was a salsa class taking place in the bar area and the alternative music was emanating from there

If only we had known would have loved to have taken a drink downstairs and watched the fun.

Great food - will try another time. The young man serving us was very pleasant and could not do enough to accommodate any requests for change to itison menu. Will be back

Hello

Thank you for your feedback - our Salsa & Sangria nights are great fun and definately worth a wee drink and a watch! We are reviewing the music policy within the venue to try and level out the sound disruption between the two floors.

We would be delighted to see you back to see our Salsa and try out our new salsa taster menu that is coming very soon!

Kindest regards,

Went for Xmas lunch and found the place humming with noise and laughter and a shortage of seats downstairs. The management had a slick way of getting the upstairs tables filled and lunch served and emptied every two hours. A bit like a cattle shed. In saying that the food was very good for the volume of people they got through. Still a bit of a hustle and we were decanted back down to the bar with a distinct shortage of seats. There was room and opportunity to mingle and a good atmosphere but some sort of seating would be beneficial. Certainly the best Xmas lunch for quality that I have tasted in a long time.

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback for us - we really appreciate it. I am glad you had a nice night and enjoyed the food.

We have indeed reviewed our sitting times and seating fro christmas 2014 to ensure it is a little more comfortable for our guests. We are opening an additonal seating and dance area for 200+ from 4pm and spacing out the restaurant seatings slightly.

We really hope to see you back again soon.

Kindest regards,

Booked in on December 27 for a work's night out as a group of 24. Heather and Lucy who dealt with the booking were great and very accommodating for a member of the party with specific dietary needs.

On the night, the meal was excellent for the price we paid, great value. The service from the bar staff was great and friendly, and also fast considering there were 24 of us at once.

The meal in the restaurant was fantastic, very attentive service even with so many other people in at the same time. I only had to raise my head and they clocked us and asked what we needed. Very special mention to Jennifer who was leading the food service, absolutely superb.

Only been in for drinks to Arta before this, but will certainly be back for food and highly recommend to anyone, particularly groups going for dinner.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our Christmas Meal at Arta on Saturday 14 December. There were several issues that affected our enjoyment. We feel that for £35 a head the meal was very poor. One of my colleagues is coeliac and despite booking our meal and informing of dietary requirements (several weeks ahead) and being assured only one menu item was unsuitable for her diet found it very difficult to pick something (her pre-booked items were not suitable). However, separately, our soup starter was served cold. We witnessed other tables meals sitting for minutes at a time on a table in the centre of the room, and made me wonder if this was the case for our soup. The main course of roast turkey and trimmings received several negative comments also. The gravy was lukewarm and watery (in flavour and appearance), the potatoes were flavourless and of unappetising texture and appearance – they looked more like coloured boiled potatoes than roast. The whole main course was very under-seasoned and tasteless, described by several of us as similar to a frozen t.v. dinner. Though the chocolate pudding had on the whole been well received the cheese and biscuits were very disappointing, with very little variety of cheese. I would not expect this sort of standard in a bar meal, much less a restaurant with a reputation to uphold. We then felt very rushed to leave the table (our email had stated we had the table until 8.45, but on arrival were told 8.30, and in fact were asked to vacate the table before 8.30). In summary, for a venue of such reputation our evening was very disappointing. The money we paid per head would have been well spent if they had lived up to this reputation. However this was not the case and left all of us with a feeling of being let down. There seems to be no effort made to supply customers with any sort of quality food, and whilst we understand this is a very busy time of year we resented being made to feel as if we were part of a food production line. The serving staff were very pleasant. however this did not make up for the overall poor quality of food and lack of value for money.

Thank you for your feedback – it is always appreciated, allowing continuous improvement.

I am really sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your meal – we have had great feedback about the food, portion sizes and flavour. I have spoken to the chef and he has advised that the produce on the night was the same as the rest of the days and from the same suppliers. All the food is cooked as required to go out – so nothing is left sitting for an unreasonable length of time.

Guests are asked to start prepping for departure 15 minutes prior to the leave time as per the confirmation. We appreciate that it can take some time – and this is why we do advise people in advance. We feel this is better received than asking you to leave immediately at 20.45.

I am sad to hear you left straight after the meal – we do have a 15 minute cross over when the next restaurant sitting is in the main bar also. I know should you have stayed a little longer – you would have seen them all move upstairs allowing a lot more space within the bar.

We have already been in touch prior to Christmas to arrange a return visit outside of TripAdvisor.

I hope you and all your colleagues had a lovely Christmas.

Kindest regards,

Heather Offord | Sales & Events Manager

2nd year our work decided to attend Arta and again cannot fault anything. Food was fantastic, service great and staff went out their way to be extremely helpfull. Will return next year hopefully. Even the disco later that eveningw as excellent. Thanks to the staff who went out their way to make sure our party had somewhere to sit after the meal.
