We arrived late on a Thursday without a booking and were shown to a quiet table in a relaxing fairly traditional room. The service was warm and friendly, the selection of food was wide and the portions were large. No pressure to leave so we stayed some time. Great venue.

this is a super restaurant, its split into three different parts, we were downstairs in the restaurant beside a funky bar, they emailed us the day before to remind us of our reservation, very efficient. The staff are very helpful and friendly and were great for recommendations. Food is top class and prices are fair.

I deducted a star only because of the noise of the music in the bar, there is only a curtain separating the two rooms and we couldn't hear ourselves speak over dessert, that said i would return in a heartbeat.

We managed to get a late booking while on a long weekend break
We arrived and were seated fairly quickly. The table was next to a curtained doorway and apologies were given with the offer of free drinks to make up for the positioning
I ordered soup as a starter and a large bowl of very tasty chicken broth arrived accompanied by two big chunks of bread
The main course arrived, I opted for a 'Desperate Dan' steak pie with potatoes & veg and my wife opted for their pan cooked fish cake. We had two hearty meals full of taste and just right for a cold Glasgow evening
Although the deserts others were troughing look great we were too stuffed and it would have been just plain greedy to carry on
The staff were friendly. The quirky atmosphere and oddball dining were perfectly balanced by good food. If you want a whole plate of food rather than modern mini meals book now!
