Lovely restaurant upstairs, food was lovely service was good. Our party had some complex dietary requirements including a nut allergy and the waiting and catering staff handled this smoothly and safely. Desserts are to die for!! Had a quick drink in the bar too, bar service was swift and friendly. There seemed a great atmosphere in the bar.

Had a really nice lunch here yesterday.
We found the service first class, nothing was a bother.
The food was most enjoyable.
Would return here without a doubt.
Only draw back is if you are elderly or disabled access to the restaurant could be a problem.

The upstairs restaurant in this old converted church has little atmosphere - especially if not busy. Food is OK as is service, but there are better places to eat nearby.

A bit off the beaten track, I had been for a drink in the pleasant bar, looked at the menu and decided to go for dinner the next night. The bar is a beer-drinker heaven with a great range of cask and bottles. A little light on wine and whisky, but better to stick with the house rules.

Welcome low key but calm, professional and efficient. Top notch. Nothing too much trouble. Food immaculate; I had the rare beef salad with chilli dressing to start, and it could not have been better. The asparagus and goat's cheese main was good, but I only had a mouthful because I had the monkfish and parma ham; Perfectly done. The turkey was reported as excellent and the sweets sticky toffee and Christmas pud reported as fabulous. Cheese a little uninspired, but good portions and that is nit-picking. Nice house wine and perhaps wine list, which was unusual, could be a little broader, but based on the house choice, probably really well chosen and good value; I will definitely investigate that on another occasion. Best meal I have had for a long time bar none; a credit to the staff, who made sure we had a great time and the bill was prompt and correct.

Well done the Southside players tackling a Greek Tragedy. A complex wordy script is very testing and the cast made a good fist of it. The play lasted two hours with no interval, so it was nice to go for a drink in the cafe bar.
