Just the job

Very central location & clean with big screen football shown in the pub downstairs

The room whilst being v large is showing signs of wear and tear and doesn't live up to the deluxe title. Bed comfy but TV was the smallest I've seen for years

BReakfast only OK

Service & welcome was good but the breakfast man could be a bit cheerier.

Any negatives were quickly forgotten about by the location. St Andrews has a great buzz with greyfriars being Close to good pubs & restaurants and the sea!

Second visit here. Very close to the golf and the town centre. Travelling companion found the nearby streets noisy at night (students on the way home from the pubs) Very clean and warm. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside was that some breakfast choices were limited as the hotel was "waiting on deliveries" - this went on for a few mornings!

I stayed at the Greyfriars Hotel while at a conference in St Andrews. It's a really nice hotel and the room is very comfortable and the view is good. I took the opportunity to relax in the large bath, and chill out with Sky TV.

Also visited the restaurant and the menu is great. I'd recommend the spicy tuna steak, which was delicious.

Friendly staff, a good breakfast, a wonderful room and value for money to.
Check it out if you are in St Andrews.

Ok so the price on late rooms said £35.00. For that price I over looked the hotel thinking for that money it has to be a hole (get it St Andrews) .

WOW never staying anywhere else again. The rooms are first class. What a great find very modern top class rooms, great bathroom with walk in shower or bath. Huge TV and sky TV.

Had to tell them next morning that for the price I turned my nose up because it sounded to cheap. So glad I went.

Great breakfast, bacon egg and mushroom sandwich, cooked perfect.

Only bad point kitchen closed very early so had to go out for tea. Still glad really as it meant I had a walk around the best town in Scotland.

Look forward to next visit, maybe don't increase the price till after I call back.

Thanks

We have just spent two nights in this hotel, and have no complaints at all.The room (318) was very clean, tidy, comfortable and warm.We dined in the restuarant on Friday evening (Jan 11) and enjoyed our meal immensely. The staff were very friendly and pleasant.I would certainly recommend this hotel for a nice winter week end break.

we stayed here for 3 nights very recently and were very pleased with the room, food and friendliness of staff, the price per night is very competitive and well worth it, st andrews is so central for everything, just over the bridge to dundee, and walking distance for the golf courses and beach, the hotel is very close to the bus station, and a stones throw from the main shopping street in st andrews, we love st andrews as the people are so friendly and theres so many lovely places to eat, we will definitely be back to greyfriars it was lovely.
