When ordering a takeaway meal, one would expect to pay a little less for the same food from the restaurant. The menu offers most of the same foods from the L'Orient restaurant but at the same price - £9.50 for a main course (excluding rice) is a little steep - we also ordered a starter or prawn tempura which was completely soggy and horrible due to the fact is was placed in a plastic tub for takeaway. I would suggset that they review the prices on their takeaway menu in line with most fusion takeaway establishements, it would also be nie to see them offer some deals.

I actually prefer this over eating in at Nahm Jim's, becuase it's cheaper and you get the same stuff! But They are quite fast and always reliable. Also, the kitchen is open quite late, which is a rare thing in this town. I think they also deliver, but you have to order over a certain amount otherwise you are charged. But they're so central it's not a problem to pick it up.
My favourite dish: Spring Rolls for a starter and then Chicken Teryaki with Sticky Rice!

Third visit, 1st sit in very good, 2nd take away good, 3rd take away terrible !
Now, it's been 1year since the 2nd & 3rd take away .......there won't be a 4th visit.
Ordered 2 mains, the chicken green curry..where was the chicken, oh.....found some - over cooked, the veg nice the scanty chicken not, the sauce watery, also ordered the lamb masssaman curry - full of fat, at least half of the curry was fat, the lamb when I found it was tasty and tender.
Cost, remember this is take away ; chicken dish £9.95, lamb dish £10.95 (this is Not including rice etc) - absolute rip off !!!! If I'd been staying in St Andrews it would have been promptly returned.
They are relying on previous reputation and being associated with the Gordon Ramsay programme. If this is a taste of how things really are at present then don't bother going, it use to be great, today's effort was awful. I have been here before and thought it was great but I will not rush back.
Have to say that felt it was a complete and utter rip off - £20 for an extremely poor take away meal where you had to hunt for the meat and unfortunately when you found it was very underwhelming.
I'm trying to be restrained in this review !!!!
Poor show Nahum Jim.

Me and a friend decided to try here as an alternative to our usual place, and would rather of stuck with what we know. It was rather expensive for just 2 people, and the food was rather disappointing however the staff were all pleasant and the food was delivered very quick.I wouldn't write it off altogether, maybe it was just an off night, but for a first experience it didn't live up to expectations after what I've been told.

There I was in St. Andrews looking for a good meal. Wanted something different from the local fare. Ran into a couple leaving a Thai restaurant on Market Street just around the corner from my hotel, The Albany. The restaurant was quite with a few patrons on a Wedneday night. Ordered my favorite, Phad Thai and a beer. Ten minutes later the dish came out from the kitchen. Looked great. Tasted even better and the beer was good, too. Compared to the same dish in the US the price was slightly higher but that was more of an exchange rate issue. The service was good and pleasant. One would not think you wouldn't find a great Thai restaurant in St. Andrews but there is one. It is a must during your stay.
