I visited St. Andrews aquarium on Friday, the 23rd of August 2019 as part of a holiday in Scotland with friends. It has lots of different animals including water monkeys, lots of different species of fish, Penguins and a very large spider in a glass enclosure. They were some of the highlights of this experience, now onto the stuff that I really think could be improved. Wheelchair access is very limited. Me and all my friends are in wheelchairs so wheelchair access is absolutely vital. They don’t have a lift in the building just very steep ramps which can be very dangerous. There was no access to see the penguin enclosure. I can understand that this is an old building and there isn't much room for building work to improve access, however with important parts of the exhibit unseeable for those in wheelchairs, it is a great shame.

Had a great day at the aquarium. Reasonably priced, lots of fish, reptiles and other animals to sea with interesting talks and activities. A hidden gem in St Andrews.

perhaps as much as 60% of the site is none aquarium creatures (meerkats, arachnids, lizards etc) so there was quite a bit to see here.
