I stayed here for only one night, but would have loved more. The location is excellent--just a few paces from the famous golf course, and a short walk from the shop-lined main streets and the university. I had a one-bedroom suite on the first floor, overlooking the sea. The bedroom was not especially large, but that was more than made up for by the very generous sitting room, with comfortable furniture, local-themed books, a desk (and free wireless internet), and a large-screen TV, and still room to walk around. The breakfast was filling and tasty, and the staff were very helpful--from storing my luggage after I checked out to phoning a cab when I left. This was a business trip, but I would love to return to St. Andrews for pleasure. When I do, I will be staying at this hotel.

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
The foor was absolutely superb. We have never tasted a nicer breakfast. It tastes like only the best, local ingredients were used. The scrambled egg was the best we have ever tasted and the fried egg had a lovely very yellow yolk. The lorne sausage and the potato scone were particularly well cooked.
In addition to this the room was lovely and bright and airy, with a superb outlook.
The location was very central with a fantastic view over the sea and the old course.
We have already recommended the hotel to friends and look forward to staying there again.

I never write reviews, but I had to say that this hotel was worth every penny. We booked late and this was almost the last room available in St Andrews for the weekend. So-knowing this we did not expect much of the hotel or room, but needless to say we were pleasantly surprised. The room was huge and even though we did not have a front sea view and was on the 1st floor - the room was lovely with a view over the streets of St Andrews. I would recommend this hotel any time and cannot wait to stay there again!!

Fantastic from start to finish. Was greeted outside as we unloaded our golf clubs from the van. Rooms were spacious and had a great view of the sea and the first tee at the Old Course. Great location for getting to the golf courses in the area ( walking distance). Breakfast was good with a fine selection. Staff couldn't had been better. Had to stay a few extra days because of the volcanic eruption and the staff was helpful in our endever to get back home (breakfast was available even though we left before it was supposed to start). Will stay here again if we come back.
