“Must visit!”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

The Dunvegan Lounge is a MUST visit for any golfer visiting St. Andrews! Great atmosphere, great staff and service. I had as much fun there as on the Old Course! We didn't dine there, but their beverages were superb and reasonably priced.

“Got to stop here if you are a golfer”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

A decent bar just off the links at St. Andrews. Very cozy and comfortable feel, and the walls adorned with tons of golf memorabilia. Worth a stop just to look at all the photos.

The owner is all about the place, friendly with that patrons. Good beers and drinks. Good food...but not great food. A couple in our group raved about the steak and ale pie. But others of us had burgers, fish & chips, etc. and it was all quite average.

Good place for a drink, okay place for food. If you are looking for a good meal, may want to try elsewhere.

“A great 19th hole”
Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

The Dunvegan is a great place to enjoy a few pints after golf in St. Andrews...the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The walls are adorned with pics from past and present professional golfers. I sat at the bar and had great service from Amelia and Lindsay!! Can't wait to get back!!

“Welcoming Atmosphere”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

My wife and I stopped in for a couple of drinks after dinner and we enjoyed the historic golf memorabilia and pictures that decorate the restaurant. Exploring the restaurant helps visitors--whether golf fanatics or simply casual fans--appreciate the history that makes St. Andrews a special place.

“Great pub but pressure to buy drinks!”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

We have been going into the Dunvegan bar for years. We really enjoy eating and drinking there. But the last few visits have left us feeling uncomfortable. The lady owner of the bar continually watches to see who does not have a drink/food in front of them and gets her young staff to continually ask if you want something else. It's pressure all the time to buy drinks. It's most uncomfortable and the relaxing enjoyable atmosphere has gone. Seems a pity when it's in a great location .

Thank you for your review. We always welcome and encourage feedback from our Customers on ways we can improve on all aspects of our business, including our own personal skills. Customer Service is very important to us and we strive to provide just that by providing table service ...rather than Customers having to get up and fetch their own drinks & carry them back to their table. If we see Customers enjoying themselves talking, watching Sky Sports, intermingling with other Customers, my highly trained staff, including me, will attend to the table and ask if they have any requirements. To me, this is Customer Service. If the Customer does not have any requirements, they are left alone.
