We haven't stayed in the accommodation but ate here on two occasions. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the food we had was excellent and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended,

The West Port has 4 rooms above their bar and restaurant (I've stayed in two). Spotless, modern and comfortable with everything you need. Friendly, helpful staff and great breakfast. Central location. Great value.

Have stayed here before and recommend it....we had an experience this weekend though which one member of staff made a total mess of as although we had booked in and had two rooms booked....that member of staff had put down one room only. What transpired with our friends stuff literally being thrown from their room by this same member of staff was out of order. The rest of the staff were so apologetic and upset and made our stay special but the one member of staff certainly needs lessons in customer service. We'll be back as the rooms and food are excellent as are the staff we know....but on this stay I must mark it down.

We usually visit St Andrews for a night between Christmas and New Year as a nice reminder of its appeal as we visit regularly during the summer months. Our usual hotel is the Rusacks but on checking for vacancies in the town noticed the Westport where we have visited for excellent food and drinks previously and decided to give it a try.
I would thoroughly recommend that you stay here. The room we had was very spacious with an entrance where the wardrobe and storage was next to the ensuite. the decor in the bedroom was contemporary and very comfortable and warm and clean.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was a lovely choice from their extensive menu, it is open to non-residents for breakfast but we were seated in a seperate area with excellent service and newspapers available. The bar/restaurant area is very upmarket contemporary and comfortable.

Can't fault it, only issue you may have is the noise from the bar at night if you had young children but it was not offensive as background noise that stopped at midnight. Our room wason the first floor right above the bar area at the front of the building. I would imagine you wouldn't hear much if you were in a room on the 2nd floor.

The location is excellent It is situated right in the towns main street, the only reason we didn't eat in the restaurant on our visit was there are so many inviting restaurants to try in St Andrews. I would recommend The Glass House, Ziggy's and Zizzi's as a preference and inexpensive.

Definitely will stay again.

We've just returned from our 2nd short break at West Port Bar & Kitchen, St Andrews, as before we've had a great time, room was super comfy and breakfast delicious. Each stay staff have been consistently attentive, very friendly and keen to offer any help in ensuring our break is enjoyable and comfortable....
Well done WPB&K please keep up your good work and thankyou for a lovely stay.... we're already planning a return visit in the near future!
Gary & Helen Anne Burns, Glasgow

Room Tip: Would recommend Room 3 it's very spacious and comfortable
