Stayed for a few days and was put in the Honeymoon Suite. Expected that it would be the best room in the hotel and, if it is, God help anyone else!

The whole room was tired, worn and old fashioned (excpet for a modern LCD TV). The bathroom was tired and the bed was tired with springs in places best not mentioned.

Though I did not use the restaurant for dinner I have in the past and would say they charge well over the top for very average food.

No redeeming features of note. Would not rush back.

We attended the Hogmany Dinner Dance in the Balmoral suite.
First;y I want to say the bar and waiting staff wre very friendly and cheery.
The food was ok
When asked what kind of so called Champagne was being served at the bells, the manager eventually agreed it was sparkling wine.He was extremely rude and dismissive as if it did not matter.
This is DISGRACEFUL behaviour for a manager and DISGRACEFUL practice for a hotel.
The toilets were very cold and not exactly clean
I will never return

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I have to say that everytime has been fantastic. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, expecially the girls on reception in the evening. The food in the restaurant is top class, I would certanly reccomend even if you are not staying in the hotel, but as I have learnt a few times it is important to book first. The rooms are nice, I like the fact that they have smoking rooms. Overall I have always had a great experience at the hotel, and I look forward to my next visit.

Situated away from the centre of Kirkcaldy and tucked away in a residential area, but with easy access onto the A92. The accommodation was certainly generous in terms of the single room which I booked. The reception staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The restaurant service was also very good and attentive. Not too much choice for a vegetarian, but they did their very best to provide some delicious food.

  • Liked — The size of the single room and the attentive staff
  • Disliked — There really was nothing to dislike

As a 3 star hotel, the rooms were above average for comfort and quality.

The public areas of the hotel were furnished to a very high standard, as was the dining room.

The quality of food was excellent, and table service was that you would expect in higher rated hotels.

Staff were always helpful and accomodating.
