Arranged a family wake there and was advised cash only and on the day catered for 50, on day 80 turned up but no extra food supplied only uncooked sausage rolls, 2 plates of small sandwiches per 8 people, and cheap chocolate biscuits and shortbread. Attrotious service no tea or coffee for half an hour. Definately won't be going there again or recommending this hotel.

I booked into this hotel ,as I was working in Kirkcaldy, and it came highly recommended by the
my other colleagues who have used it in the past. It was sold to me as a very friendly place
with excellent food and clean ,tidy rooms.
I wasn't disappointed.......... The staff seem to have the can do will do attitude lacking in many
places these days, and not just in hotels. There was a pleasant, friendly atmosphere in the bar
area, and I was made feel part of the conversation with the few regulars. Many seem to return time after time, and know all the staff on a first name basis.
There was a decent menu to suit all pockets. I had chicken maryland from the high tea menu
with enough cakes to feed a family..........
Well done all the boys & girls at the Victoria, i'll see you all again soon....... (keep a chocolate snowball for me !!)

Would not stay at this hotel again. It needs a visit from the hotel inspector. Dirty curtains dirty head board dirty tea cups dirty window ledges even the fire extinguishers were dusty. The staff tried to say that the hotel was not dirty but after all the items above we're shown they agreed. Not staying there again.

Currently staying here whilst on business in the Kingdom. Booked this at last minute and phoned since website said they were full. The girl who answered the phone was fantastic, she found me a room, didn't moan when I said 3 nights please with the chance it might be 5, and was generally great.

Arrived Sunday night at about 6pm to be told on a Sunday there is no dinner, only high tea and only until 7pm. What a result, £10.85, main course, tea, toast, scones and 5 cakes for one person, deeeeelicious.

Monday, brekkie, simply great, the sausages are amazing, good set up for the day. Then it started. Went out to work for the day and came back after. Sat in the bar for an hour or so and was given the a'la carte menu. Treeeeemendous. The venison was to die for, the profiteroles even more so. This place is fantastic. The food is first class.

Oh, forgot about the room. Here on my own, got the family room, a double and a single bed, perfectly comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. Not boutique or mega modern but hey you're only sleeping in it. It works so don't fix it.

Staff. In hotels where you have guys that are getting worked to death for minimum wage you expect nothing. Not here, from the receptionist, Carol, lovely lady who deserves a pay rise, to Luigi, the maitre'd, yes maitre'd in kirkcaldy, to Esad, the Egyptian waiter, Susan and Gemma, the barmaids, everyone of them deserve a medal, wonderful service, friendly as anything and a laugh to the bargain .

Overall, excellent place to stay with fantastic food

This is quite a good hotel, spoilt only by looking a little 'tired'. Soke sprucing up would add to its attraction.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, though a lick of paint would help them to look better. With the warm weather we found the room a little bit uncomfortable as we couldn't keep the windows open. They are hinged in the centre so gravity keeps closing them and we didn't have anything suitable to prop them open. Its only a little thing but it does make a difference between our 4 sar rating and a 5 star.

The staff were polite and helpful throughout our short stay.

We only had one meal at the hotel, breakfast, which was good. There was a range of serials, fruit juices etc, and an extensive range of hot choices. My fry up was excellent.

I would use this hotel again and would recommend it to others. It is good value for money.

Room Tip: The main road is noisy late at night so a room at the back would be a good choice.

We stayed here for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party, which also took place in the hotel. Not our first family function here.
The staff are always friendly, it is good value for money. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.
High teas are fabulous.
Rooms clean and comfortable.

In June we were looking for a hotel in Edinburgh. It was busy there and so we ventured north to Kirkcaldy. We discovered the Victoria Hotel in Kirkcaldy where my husband spent his childhood. Kirkcaldy is an easy drive to Edinburgh but provides the relaxation and amenities you do not get in a city. We arrived late in the evening but the service could not have been better The staff were only too happy to provide us with dinner even thought the kitchen was just closing. Our meal and wine in a gorgeous dining room was fantastic. Our hotel room was large, light and airy and the bathroom was spotless with excellent facilities. Enjoy the amazing décor in this wonderful hotel once the home of a furniture maker. The customer service is excellent.
We are from New Zealand and enjoy good but not too pricey accommodation. This hotel was everything plus more. We will recommend it to all our friends.

Room Tip: As Kirkcaldy is a quiet town any room is probably brilliant.
