“A thoroughly enjoyable lunch”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Stopped in here for lunch with my brother after reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Clearly whoever is running the Inn these days cares about the quality of the food they're serving, and it shows. As it was my first visit I just had a standard "burger and chips" so I could easily compare the quality of the food against other similar restaurants - I wasn't disappointed as it's easily among the best I've had anywhere I can think of. The burgers are freshly made and the chips... I don't know what they do to them, but they're utterly delicious! The decor's pleasant and there's easy parking around the back. One thing that would have been handy is to have the opening times clearly listed on the front page of the website - I checked the night before, and the website looks like it's been lavished as much attention as the Inn itself. Beautifully laid out with a modern reactive layout for browsing on tablets and phones, etc., but it fails at the fundamentals unfortunately - I just wanted to know what time it opened and it couldn't tell me. As a result we turned up at 11.30 only to be told it didn't open until 12, so we ended up having to sit in the car for half-an-hour. Happily however, I'm pleased to report it was well worth the wait! Thanks for a lovely meal - I'm sure I'll be back.

“A real gem of a place”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Visited here today after reading the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. It more than met our expectations. The decor is lovely and intimate, with lamps in each window and beautiful paintings adorning the walls. The food was beautifully presented, almost too good to eat, and, of course, absolutely delicious. They gave us time in between courses to digest the food, before serving the next one. All too often I have left restaurants having been hurried through the meal and felt ill. The man serving us was extremely polite, friendly and well-mannered, despite waiting on four tables alone. I will definitely return here, and can't recommend it enough.
