A change of management has resulted in a change to the welcome you receive in the restaurant. Instead of warm pizza bread they now provide baked bread with oil and balsamic. Still nice but changing a twenty year tradition is hard for us regulars! Food still good and service still excellent from the folks who have served us in Dunfermline for years. Will keep coming back and would encourage others to try...

As regulars of both the old Luigi's and the new restaurant, we had never been previously dissapointed, my wife and I had always raved about not just the food, but the little things that made it special, such as the complimentary pizza bread on arrival, the free drink on the house after paying our bill and leaving a decent tip, we once joked that these little things probably only cost Luigi about £2.00 in real terms, (50p for the bread, a glass of house red at cost, maybe 70p and my wifes free coffee, 80p) however we were made to feel special and always returned regulary,

So to Valentines night, we were sat down and passed the menus, on looking at the menu 3 out of the 4 dishes we normally ordered were no longer listed, we asked Alfredo if it was a new menu? he stated yes, then he asked what we would like that was not on the menu, we mentioned the spare ribs as a starter, we were told these were no longer listed, however if we really wanted spare ribs, then they would order them from the chinese takeaway next door! not being funny but we dont go to Luigi's to have "chinese" spare ribs, but his own ribs which were always excellent, we asked about the mains of Pollo luigi and the Pasta Norcia, only to be told no longer available, but Luigi may cook them for you if we ask him. We overheard another table asking about their complimentary pizza bread, only to hear the response "we have stopped doing that"

As a result of the above we asked to pay for our drinks and left, to give the staff their due, they refused to accept payment for our drinks and were very apologetic, but all day we had been looking forward to this meal and were left very dissapointed by a massive reduction in choice. it's sad to say but until such times as Luigi resorts to advertising his old menu we will not be returning, for us this is difficult and dissapointing to have to make this decision, but in ending, we would like to thank all the staff and Luigi for excellent service and food in the past and wish them well for the future, but as the titles states, if it's not broken, don't mend it.

This is fast becoming the go-to place in Dunfermline for a family meal. The food is really nice, wine is lovely and the atmosphere is just great. The staff are very friendly and they really go out of their way to make the kids welcome. Prices are very reasonable too. My only criticism from my last visit was give us more time in between starter and main. Felt a bit rushed. Otherwise, tip-top!

Went for lunch with the family just before Xmas.

Service was good, food was good and prices were good......can't say fairer than that. I wouldn't say it is a place for a "special" meal as not appealing in that way.

Visited here with work colleagues for Xmas night out recently. We had a lovely meal. There were lots to choose from on the menu and the prices were very reasonable. I had the meat and spinach cannelloni and it was delicious, other people had a variety of pastas and pizza and it all looked lovely. Definitely worth a visit!
